And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
