Samood rejected the warning. 23 So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress: 24 Was he the one of all of us to have been given the exposition? He is surely an impudent liar." 25 [And God said:] "On the morrow they will come to know who the boastful liar is! 26 We shall send the she-camel to try them. So watch them, and be constant. 27 Tell them that each one of them has the right to have a certain share of water". 28 But they call their comrade and he took and hamstrung (her). 29 How then were My chastisement and My warnings? 30 Behold, We sent a single Blast against them, and they became like the trampled twigs of a sheep pen-builder. 31 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 32 The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings. 33 Verily We! We sent upon them a gravel-storm save the household of Lut; them We delivered at early dawn. 34 As a favour from Us. Thus We recompense him who giveth thanks. 35 He had warned them of Our assault but they disputed the warnings. 36 They even solicited of him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes: 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 37 One early morning Our torment brought upon them utter destruction. 38 "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 39 We have made it easy indeed to learn lessons from the Quran. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 40
