Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders. 16 and have protected them against every accursed satan 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 We have spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains. Everything We have caused to grow therein is justly weighed; 19 And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We loose the winds fertilising, and We send down out of heaven water, then We give it to you to drink, and you are not its treasurers. 22 And surely, it is We who give life and make to die. We are the Inheritor. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 It is your Lord who will gather them. He is all wise and all knowing. 25
