The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
