The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
