Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
All praise be to Allah to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all praise be to Him in the World to Come. He is Most Wise, All-Aware. 1 He knows what penetrates into the earth, and what comes forth from it, what comes down from heaven, and what goes up to it; He is the All-compassionate, the All-forgiving. 2 The unbelievers say: "There is no coming of the Hour for us." Say: "Why not? By my Lord, the knower of the unknown, it will certainly come for you. Not even an atom's weight in the heavens and the earth, or something smaller or greater than it, is hidden from Him, and which is not recorded in the all-too-manifest Book, 3 That He may reward those who believe and do good; these it is for whom is forgiveness and an honorable sustenance. 4 And (as for) those who strive hard in opposing Our communications, these it is for whom is a painful chastisement of an evil kind. 5 Those who have been given knowledge will see that whatever has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth and that it guides to the straight path of the Majestic and Praiseworthy One. 6 And those who disbelieve say: shall we direct you toward a man declaring unto you that when ye have become dispersed with full dispersion, then ye will be raised unto a new creation? 7 Has he invented about Allah a lie or is there in him madness?" Rather, they who do not believe in the Hereafter will be in the punishment and [are in] extreme error. 8 See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance). 9
