Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 He plunged the villages 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
