The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Cloaked one, 1 Rise up and warn! 2 Thy Lord magnify 3 cleanse your clothes, 4 And stay away from idols. 5 and do not think that by doing such deeds, you have done a great favor to God. 6 And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allah)! 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 For the unbelievers, anything but easy. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 and whom I have granted abundant wealth 12 and sons that stand in witness. 13 and to whose life I gave so wide a scope: 14 Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);- 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 I will make a distressing punishment overtake him. 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 death seized him, how was his determining! 19 Again, ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 20 He looked (at others); 21 Then frowned and grimaced. 22 Then he turned back and was haughty; 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 Anon shall I roast him into the Scorching Fire. 26 and what will teach thee what is Sakar? 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 It scorches people's skin 29 Over it are appointed nineteen. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
