Remember also Our servant Job; when he called to his Lord, 'Behold, Satan has visited me with weariness and chastisement.' 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
