Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
