Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 Till the appointed day." 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
