Could, then, one whose bosom God has opened wide with willingness towards self-surrender unto Him, so that he is illumined by a light [that flows] from his Sustainer, [be likened to the blind and deaf of heart]? Woe, then, unto those whose hearts are hardened against all remembrance of God! They are most obviously lost in error! 22 God has sent down the fairest discourse as a Book, consimilar in its oft-repeated, whereat shiver the skins of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts soften to the remembrance of God. That is God's guidance, whereby. He guides whomsoever He will; and whomsoever God leads astray, no guide has he. 23 So will he who will not have a shield except his own face against the wretched punishment on the Day of Resurrection, ever be equal to one who is forgiven? And it will be said to the unjust, “Taste what you have earned!” 24 Those before them (also) rejected (revelation), and so the Punishment came to them from directions they did not perceive. 25 God gave them a taste of humiliation in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew it. 26 And We have indeed illustrated examples of all kinds in this Qur’an, so that they may ponder. 27 (It is) a Qur'an in Arabic, without any crookedness (therein): in order that they may guard against Evil. 28 Allah puts forth a similitude: a (slave) man belonging to many partners (like those who worship others along with Allah) disputing with one another, and a (slave) man belonging entirely to one master, (like those who worship Allah Alone). Are those two equal in comparison? All the praises and thanks be to Allah! But most of them know not. 29 Verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) will die and verily, they (too) will die. 30 Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord. 31
