and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
