And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. 64 So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded. 65 And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 And fear Allah, and humiliate me not. 69 They said: forbade we not thee against the worlds? 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 And We turned the township upside down and rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And surely it is on a road that still abides. 76 Indeed there is a portent in this for those who believe. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
