The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
