۞ Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I exhort you unto one thing only: that ye awake, for Allah's sake, by twos and singly, and then reflect: There is no madness in your comrade. He is naught else than a warner unto you in face of a terrific doom. 46 Say: 'I have asked no wage of you; that shall be yours. My wage falls only upon God; and He is witness over everything.' 47 Say: "Verily, my Sustainer hurls the truth [against all that is false] He who fully knows all the things that are beyond the reach of a created being's perception!" 48 Say: "The truth has come, and falsehood had neither precedence nor will reappear." 49 Say: 'If I go astray, then I go astray only against myself; if I am guided it is because of that which my Lord has revealed to me. He is the Hearer, and the Near' 50 And if you could see when they are terrified but there is no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby. 51 then they will say, "We now believe in Him." But how will they attain to faith, having gone so far away from it? 52 seeing they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a place far away? 53 And they will be shut off from that which they will eagerly desire, as shall be done with the likes of them of yore. Verily they have been in doubt perplexing. 54
