The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
