Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
