Do you not see how those who dispute God's signs, are turned away from the right path -- 69 Those who belie the Book and that message wherewith We sent Our apostles, presently they shall come to know. 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 and are dragged into burning despair, and in the end become fuel for the fire [of hell]. 72 Then shall it be said to them: Where is that which you used to set up 73 other than Allah' They will reply: 'They have gone astray from us. Indeed what we used to call upon before is nothing' Accordingly, Allah leads the unbelievers astray. 74 'That is because you rejoiced in the earth without right, and were exultant. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
