Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
