Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
