The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with Truth. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Allah in His Divinity. 3 He created man out of a mere drop of fluid, and lo! he turned into an open wrangler. 4 And cattle He has created for you (men): from them ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, and of their (meat) ye eat. 5 how pleasant they look when you bring them home in the evenings and when you take them out to pasture in the mornings. 6 And they carry your loads to [many] a place which [otherwise] you would be unable to reach without great hardship to yourselves. Verily, your Sustainer is most compassionate, a dispenser of grace! 7 He created horses, mules and donkeys for riding and for splendour. He created other things too which you do not know. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
