Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
