The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 and a few from later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 facing one another. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 and banana trees, 29 And shade extended 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit abundant. 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And raised couches. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 And made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
