Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
