Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 and produce sparks 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
