Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
