The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Mount 1 And the Scripture inscribed 2 in a parchment unrolled, 3 by the established House (Mecca), 4 And by the roof raised high (i.e. the heaven). 5 and the sea that is full 6 Verily the torment of thine Lord is sure to befalls 7 No one can avert it. 8 On the Day when the heaven will shake with a dreadful shaking, 9 And the mountains will move away with an awful movement. 10 On that Day woe to those who belied 11 Who, ignoring the Reality, engage in pleasantries. 12 The day on which they shall be driven away to the fire of hell with violence. 13 "This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny! 14 Is this magic, or is it that you do not see? 15 Roast in it. Bear it with patience or impatience, it will be the same for you. You will be requited for what you had done." 16 As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,- 17 talking of what they have received from their Lord and of how their Lord has saved them from the torment of hell. 18 [And they will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer as an outcome of what you were wont to do, 19 They will recline on couches arranged in rows and We shall couple them with maidens with large, lovely eyes. 20 We shall unite the believers with those descendants of theirs who followed them in their faith, and shall not deny them any part of the reward for their good deeds. Every person is pledged to what he did. 21 And We provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire. 22 They will pass cups of un-intoxicating and unsinful wine to one another. 23 ۞ And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls. 24 And some of them shall advance towards others questioning each other. 25 Saying: "Aforetime, we were afraid with our families (from the punishment of Allah). 26 "But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind. 27 Verily we were wont to pray unto Him aforetime; verily He! it is He, the Benign, the Merciful. 28

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
