Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
