50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 To end all argument or to warn. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
