And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
