The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
