Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists) in which there is not doubt! 2 Or do they say: “He has fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you; perhaps they will be guided to the Right Way. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He directs all affairs from heaven to earth. Then all will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 Who hath made everything exceeding good which He hath created. And He originated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 And they say: What! when we have become lost in the earth, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? Nay! they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
