Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
