1/4 Hizb 50
< random >
۞ When the son of Mary was mentioned as an example, you people cried out in protest, saying, 57 And they say: are our gods better, or is he? They mention him not to thee save for disputation. Aye! they are a people contentious. 58 [As for Jesus,] he was nothing but [a human being] a servant [of Ours] whom We had graced [with prophethood,] and whom We made an example for the children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 And let not the Shaitan prevent you; surely he is your open enemy. 62 NOW WHEN Jesus came [to his people] with all evidence of the truth, he said: "I have now come unto you with wisdom, and to make clear unto you some of that on which you are at variance: hence, be conscious of God, and pay heed unto me. 63 Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path." 64 But certain groups created differences among themselves. Woe to the unjust. They will face a painful torment. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
