The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising guile, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17

True are the words of God the Almighty.
