Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And arranged carpets. 15 and outspread carpets. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
