The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
