The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
