The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
