The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 Of the mighty tiding 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Surely, they will soon find out the truth! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 And the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.). 8 And have appointed your sleep for repose, 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 and the day as time for you to make a living? 11 and built above you seven strong firmaments, 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 and luxuriant gardens. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 And the heaven will have been opened, and it will have become doors. 19 And the mountains will be moved – they will therefore become like mirages. 20 Surely, Hell lies in wait, 21 a home for the transgressors, 22 Living therein for ages. 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 Save scalding water and corruption. 25 , A fitting reward. 26 Surely they feared not the account, 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 However, We have recorded everything in a book. 29 (They will be told), "Suffer, We shall only increase the torment for you". 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
