The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
