Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You will be shown hell 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
Almighty Allah's Truth.
