T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
