Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. " 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon].
