And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin. 31 And approach not fornication; surely it is an indecency, and evil as a way. 32 Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law). 33 Do not go near the orphans' property, except with the best of intentions, until they reach maturity. Keep your promises; you will be called to account for every promise which you have made! 34 Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with even scales. That is better, and fairer in the end. 35 And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned. 36 Do not walk proudly on the earth; your feet cannot tear apart the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains. 37 All this-- the evil of it-- is hateful in the sight of your Lord. 38 (Muhammad), these are words of wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you. Do not consider anything equal to God lest you be thrown into hell, despised, and driven away from God's mercy. 39 Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying. 40
