The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 These will be the heirs, 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
