So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
