Al-Mujaadalah 3 of 3
۞ Did you not see those who befriended those upon whom is Allah’s wrath? They are neither of you nor of these – and they swear a false oath, whereas they know. 14 Allah hath gotten ready for them a torment grievous; verily vile is that which they have been working. 15 They have made their oaths as a shield to obstruct others from the way of God. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 16 Their wealth and their children will be of no use to them before Allah; they are the people of hell; they are to remain in it forever. 17 On the day God raises them all up from the dead, they will swear to Him just as they have sworn to you, thinking that they are on firm ground. But surely they are liars. 18 The devil has overpowered them, so they forgot the remembrance of Allah; they are the devil’s group; pay heed! Indeed it is the devil’s group who are the losers. 19 Lo! those who oppose Allah and His messenger, they will be among the lowest. 20 Allah hath prescribed: surely I shall overcome, I and My apostles. Verily Allah is strong, Mighty. 21 You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day befriending those who oppose Allah and His Messenger even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. He has inscribed faith in their hearts and has strengthened them with a spirit from Him, and He shall make them enter Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Therein they shall abide. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him. They belong to Allah's party. Verily Allah's party shall prosper. 22
