Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
